Vertu has announced the launch of the new Ascent Ferrari GT. The result of another close collaboration between the two luxury brands, the latest generation of the Ferrari edition is limited to 2011 pieces and combines the latest Ascent’s design with inspiration from the engine housed in the 458 Italia.

The new model represents an evolution in the integration of Ferrari and Vertu’s designs, taking direct inspiration from Ferrari’s iconic V8 engine. Vertu has represented the eight cylinders on the unique side panels of this new handset; these side panels also feature the bright metal Ferrari logo and stripes set in a crackle-finish red paint, as they do on the cam covers of the car. The authenticity and partnership between the two companies is epitomised by a truly integrated manufacturing process – these side panels are painted in the same workshop, using the exact same production methods as that of Ferrari’s engine covers. Further authenticity is provided with the continued use of official Ferrari leather and by the addition of a muscular Cavallino Rampante on the front nose.
The main body of the Ascent Ferrari GT is forged titanium with a matte black finish, created by a process called PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition). This is complemented by a black ground ceramic pillow and hand-stitched Ferrari red and black leather, polished stainless steel keys and joystick and Ferrari red key graphics. The phone software includes two new tones created from the sounds of the Ferrari 458 Italia engine.
The services included with the Ascent Ferrari GT are those that have secured Vertu’s position as a class leader in lifestyle assistance and enrichment and include an enhanced Concierge service and expanded Vertu City Brief and Vertu Select offerings.
The Ascent Ferrari GT is priced from €8,900 and will be available from selected Vertu boutiques and Ferrari stores worldwide.
