To coincide with the 50th anniversary of Kuwait’s independence, we published a commemorative book which records the establishment of the State of Kuwait, and charts its emergence as a strong, proud, and sovereign country. The book - ‘50 Years of Independence - 50 Years of Development, Kuwait 1961- 2011’ - highlights the main areas of growth and achievement throughout the last fifty years across the various sectors.
With more than 200 pictures contrasting Kuwait in the 1960s and Kuwait today, the book also includes an easy to follow timeline for each sector.
‘50 Years of Independence - 50 Years of Development, Kuwait 1961- 2011’ is a bilingual book with more than 20,000 words in Arabic, and 20,000 words in English.
The book was be launched in January 2011, and is the perfect reminder of Kuwait’s golden year and provides a useful reference for years to come.
