  Boushahri Gallery

Boushahri Gallery was instrumental in establishing a firm footing for the arts in Kuwait. Founded by one of the nation’s foremost artists of the time, Jawad Boushahri, it continues to be a firm favourite amongst local collectors and Arab artists alike. Currently curated by the knowledgeable Yahya Swailam, the gallery aims to present renowned names from the region alongside shows of local and upcoming artists.

Upcoming Shows:
to 9th February, 2012
An exhibition of private collections including the artistic works of both Arab and Western artists for viewing pleasure or reownership.This exhibition will include the works of Paul Guiragossian, Omar Al-Najdi, Issam Darwish, Salvador Dali and Matisse.

Ibrahim Dessouki (1969) and Hind Adnan (1970)

Ibrahim is a well-known artist who has had a numerous amount of exhibitions in Cairo, Alexandria, Qatar, and outside the Arab world. His works include human bodies in which he has success with weight, anatomy, and vitality. He uses pale and soft colors in his work, giving them harmony and a musical feel. Hind has been involved in many private exhibitions from 1993 until now. She has continued to improve her artistic abilities and productions on the human body, which represent the muse in most of her works.

Farouk Hosni

Farouk’s style changed gradually from natural scenery to that of beauty. After taking part in an exhibition at the Metropolitan Musuem of Modern Arts, comments arose that Farouk’s work relect international and progressive taste. His artwork is known to continually include the light and colors of his country.
