  Culinary Architecture

by La Cornue

This unique vision of a tailor made kitchen incarnates all the company’s values and reflects all the skills of the craftsmen in their workshops, the design office experience and the commitment of after-sales services. Culinary Architecture expresses the quintessence of La Cornue: the Beautiful serving the Good.

La Cornue is reputed for its expertise in culinary know-how not only in France, but worldwide. La Cornue has attracted a loyal clientele, those who love beautiful marks of exception and gourmets, from Maréchal Foch to George Clooney and Karl Lagerfield. The exceptional confirms the rule and La Cornue has made its name as the trademark in products adapted to customers’ individual requirements.

Xavier Dupuy, the grandson of the founder, Albert Dupuy, has been running the family business for the past 25 years. In 1985, as a brand visionary, he began major international development projects. He initiated a merger with the English group, AGA in 2004, for the launch of a new range manufactured in the United Kingdom - CornuFé.

Today La Cornue is present worldwide, showrooms are opening one after the other in the Middle East, Asia and Latin America. Almost 80% of sales are at export. The French art de vivre continues to attract, well beyond their borders!

On the strength of its experience in the production of top quality ranges, La Cornue is now extending its expertise and offering total kitchen fitting services, known as Culinary Architecture. This concept aims to return the kitchen to its central position and make it a place in which to enjoy food and social pleasures together.

Unique in the world, this offer brings together not only their ranges, but also units and furniture, ventilation, refrigerators, wine cellars, preparation tables, utensils, in fact everything the demanding amateur cook could dream of.

La Cornue architectural composition precepts
A good cook’s best friend is his architect. The first condition by which to ensure that a chef’s happiness is complete is well designed culinary architecture that ensures he can exercise his talent with ease. Knowing about the slightest needs, the most subtle constraints, La Cornue offers a functional, structured kitchen area. And more, makes the kitchen a noble place once more, a place around which home life is organised.

The total layout projects known as Culinary Spaces illustrate classic French-style order, where priority is given to symmetry and rhythm. At the heart of every project lies the Château cooker. However the space is laid out, the cooking area is always the focal point in the layout, around which all the other elements are ordered.

When space permits, La Cornue prefers to include a central island for cooking, whilst preparation, storage, washing and eating areas are spread around the periphery in a functional, symmetrical fashion.

The birth of La Cornue: technology based on a hundred-year old patent
In the beginning it was a perfume maker, inventor and true gourmet, Albert Dupuy who in 1908 began manufacturing a rotisserie with an original shape. The vaulted oven for which he obtained the patent was to become the cornerstone in La Cornue cookers. By using natural hot air circulation in the oven, this invention is the key to the success of juicy, flavourful dishes. The vaulted oven concept has never been copied and La Cornue technology is still the most efficient on the world market today.

The Legendary La Cornue Chateau
Now including eight designs, the Château range is the jewel in the crown of production at La Cornue.

Luxury materials, exclusive vaulted ovens, professional solid brass burners and the solid hot plate all provide uncompromising culinary efficiency, just like the very best professional ranges. Each hob can be chosen with a personalised combination chosen from brass burners, traditional electric, vitroceramic or induction hob, hot plate or teppan-yaki. Over 26 colours of enamel are available for the cooker fronts, surrounded by chrome, nickel, brass or copper finishes. Every Château proudly bears a personalised plaque, engraved with its owner’s name.

Made-to-measure craftsmanship to match your ambition!

La Cornue is located at the Ali Abdulwahab Sons & Co. showroom in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area,
