On October 20, 1984, in Jouy-en-Josas, near Versailles, Cartier inaugurated the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain, a pioneering gesture in support of living art. Ten years later, in May 1994, the Fondation Cartier moved to Paris, into the architecture of glass and steel that had been created by Jean Nouvel. In this unique setting, exhibitions, conferences and artistic productions come to life.
Medical buildings are usually perceived as spaces with negative connotations, specifically when referring to rehabilitation centers where patients stay for long periods of time. Therefore, in the design process of the Hisham A. Alsager Cardiac Center, AGi’s aim was to change this perception and to build a positive space, one that is able to act as a hub for social activity, rather than just a medical center.
Credit One Kuwait Holding Company offers automotive and logistic services. The company’s association with the car inspired the design concept of the building which centers on the car in terms of scale, motion and mechanics.
