Born in 1960, and now living and working in British Columbia, Canada, Doust’s art has prominent presence in countries in the Persian Gulf region and around the world. He began painting with oil color at fourteen, and recorded everything he perceived as expressively as he could. Inspired by Van Gogh’s impassioned response to landscape, he went into the countryside surrounding the ancient city of Esfahan in search of beauty,

Throughout his colorful career, he has created award winning art projects, fulfilled his responsibility towards his community and brought up new generation of young artists with his teaching, workshop and his multitude of practices.

An exhibition celebrating the second year of Ghadah Alkandari’s blog PrettyGreenBullet, this one-night show will showcase paintings and drawings, as well as everyday notes, doodles and sketches done by the artist over the last year. Because of the vagaries of Alkandari’s mind, even she can’t be sure what the final outcome of the show will be. The nature of her daily evolution and devolution of ideas form the basis of the PrettyGreenBullet experience, and this exhibition, the nutshell.
