Seas & Deserts Group is synonymous with outdoor adventure in Kuwait. The company offers a broad range of products and services related to ships, yachts and mega-yachts, as well as navigational electronics, in addition to All-Terrain-Vehicles (ATVs) such as Can-Am ATV, SSV and roadsters.

The company is proud to provide its clients with the finest international brands as well as the latest products for year-round use a variety of terrains and a superior range of services to go with them, writes Carla Sommers.

As the demand for such products in the Kuwait market is so high, in 2016 Seas & Deserts took the opportunity of securing the Kuwait dealership for Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP), a prestigious Canadian brand that was originally founded in 1942 in Quebec. The BRP brand is a global leader in the design, development, manufacturing, distribution and marketing of power sports vehicles and top-of-the-range propulsion systems and is distributed in over 100 countries. Their product range includes EVINRUDE outboard engines, propellers and rigging, as well as an amazing selection of the latest personal watercraft by SEADOO, which makes them ideal for Kuwait where the Gulf provides a great natural playground. The different lines of products all come with reliable spare parts, accessories and clothing.

The Kuwait Yacht Show is the perfect venue to showcase Seas & Deserts latest 2017 marine products, such as MY17 SEADOO PWC line-up, featuring the totally revamped 2017 SPARK TRIXX and supercharged GTR-X 230-HP, alongside more models with some exceptional riding gear and unique accessories. BRP claims it is taking marine outboard engineering to a whole new level. Attendees to the show will be able to see the brand new, state-of-the-art 2017 EVINRUDE G2 outboard engines, starting from 200-hp and going up to 300-hp. Customers can choose from a range of contemporary colours, such as metallic lime green, electric blue and sand. The E-TEC G2 delivers up to 30% more torque and is more fuel efficient by up to 15% compared to other competitive outboards.

In 2017, BRP introduced a new range of enhanced products including the all-new MAVERICK X3, powered with the ROTAX three-cylinder engine,bringing154hp of turbo-charged energy to the high seas, while the new SEADOO spark TRIXX has features to allow better maneuvering at high speed in water. In addition, the newly-released SEADOO GTR-X 230 — powered with the supercharged 230-hp ROTAX engine –enables it to accelerate from 0-60mph (0-96.6km/h) in 5.29seconds. The fully integrated I-Trim, Dynamic Power Steering and the hydrodynamic SLX gearcase reduces the effort required for steering and offers much-improved handling, delivering a silky smooth and exhilarating experience.

One of Seas & Deserts most popular BRP products has proved to be the SEADOO PWC RXP-X. Seen as the ultimate top-of-the-line racing watercraft and powered with the 300-hp ROTAX 1630 ACE engine, it combines incomparable power, ease of handling and all-important control. Land-based vehicles have been a huge hit too; the Roadster Can-Am Spyder F3-S DAYTONA 500 EDITION is the boldest and sportiest Can-Am Spyder, while the all-new MAVERICK X3 154-hp is a leap into the next generation of high-performance, side-by-side vehicles. An unbeatable 0-60 in 4.9 seconds! A turbo charged four-wheeled fury.

Seas & Deserts are adamant the company offers an entire ‘experience’ to a customer. The company organizes events and test drives at the beginning of the season for land vehicles, giving clients the chance to drive the vehicle and feel the power and the difference that it offers. Kuwaitis are fond of such sports, however, the season is very short, and most land-based action happens only in the winter. Happily, the Kuwait summers are long and the crystal clear Gulf waters are perfect for enjoying the action on the water, whether on a big boat or on personal watercraft.

All the products offered by Seas & Deserts are about the quality experience; anyone of any age will be able to enjoy both the land and sea to the maximum.
