McLaren Automotive announced full details of the 2017 Pure McLaren programme – a series of exclusive events that bring together the most passionate McLaren owners and enthusiasts. The 2017 calendar started on April 5 at Monza, Italy and promises exhilarating track days at some of the most iconic Grand Prix circuits across the world.
McLaren Automotive has already revealed that one of the key strategies of its TRACK 22 business plan is the development of a Pure Electric Vehicle (or EV) to one day sit in its Ultimate Series. Meanwhile a Pure EV based on today’s McLaren P1™ is now available but only to a limited group of potential customers … those under the age of six. At least that’s the official guidance.
The McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept will be displayed on the concept lawn at Pebble Beach where previously McLaren has displayed many of its concept and future models, not least the McLaren P1TM.
Ahead of the 2016 Total 24 Hours of Spa, it has been confirmed that one of the three examples of the McLaren 650S GT3 being run by customer team Garage 59 will wear a unique livery based on the original logo which adorned the early racers of the Bruce McLaren Motor Racing team. The logo featured on McLaren cars between 1962 and 1966.
